Daytona MotoSurf 08
Once again my good friend Nick Foderer put together the bigggest surf event in the world.  Hundreds of stand-up riders from across the country and around the world were treated to sun, 75-80 degree weather, and fun (although small) surf.  This event is unlike any other in the world.  It is not a contest, race or show...but something far more special.  It is a fun event where everyone is invited to come hangout, ride, party and raise money for a couple of very worthy causes.  It also just so happens that the event draws some of the biggest names in the sport every year, and this was no exception.  Our current IFWA World Champion Pierre Maxient was on hand all the way from France, as well as many of the other surf and flat water pros (past and present) from around the globe.

It is always a lot of fun to meet the riders and fans that show up.  I ride and do what I do because it really is the absolute most fun and challenging thing I have done up to this point in my life.  And that alone gives me all the satisfaction I need from this sport.  However it is very cool to hear and know that what I am doing makes a difference to other people out there.

You, Mike, Pete, Pierre, Taylor, and the rest of the freeride tour are a huge inspiration to those of us who love the sport.

It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. Do you agree?
